Dr. Cristina Estremera

Cristina Estremera, a Rutgers University-Newark alumna, graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor's degree and captained their NCAA women's soccer team. She later became a hall of fame inductee and Women’s Soccer Assistant Coach and co-founded Tech Academy LLC, a soccer training company. Cristina earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rutgers in 2022, gaining experience in various clinical settings, including outpatient orthopedics and acute rehabilitation. Her clinical focus is on sports-related injuries, particularly ACL, for which she has conducted evidence-based research presented at the 2022 APTA Combined Sections Meeting. Besides her physical therapy career, Cristina actively trains youth and adult soccer players in both technical skills and performance training. Her goal is to design personalized treatment plans that not only restore function and confidence in her patients but also promote a healthier and more active and educated lifestyle.

The standard 10-minute hotpacks, repetitive basic exercises with an intern, and 10 minutes of 1-on1 time with a therapist for a massage 3x/week is not quality care.
